EVENING PROGRAMS
We offer an evening program every evening after our buffet feast in Tielsen Dining Room. Here's a sneak preview of what we have planned:Monday
Laurie Jo Brain and her children Ellie Mae, Audry Rose, and Will are going to be providing the musical entertainment for us this evening. Laurie Jo performed with her brother for our very first program 20 years ago and has been with us ever since. Kate, Tyler and Carrie performed with Laurie Jo in past programs and have gone on to college and marriage. We hope to get them all back at once one of these years.Tuesday
Michael Wilhelm has stood at the foot of erupting volcanoes in Hawaii and Montserrat, swam with spawning salmon and slept with sandhill cranes on Nebraska's Platte River. As a passionate birder, he's spent countless hours photographing avian species at home and abroad.All of this began with a quest for great photographs and gradually led to the realization that in observing nature, he was learning important lessons about the rhythms of our planet.
" All life forms and their habitats are significant and frequently interconnected. A species of bird that is drab in color may be exciting in character. Habitats that seem fruitless to mankind often harbor unique organisms with interesting survival strategies,"

Wednesday
In 2007, Karen Basin returned with Wendyn Price to play Ecclectic Music For Bassoon and Percussion. This program presented a most unusual blend of instruments, with Karen playing bassoon and Wendyn playing conga drums and doumbek.
Karen plays bassoon in the Rogue Valley Symphony and baroque bassoon in the JeffersonBaroque Orchestra. We look forward to her surprise performance in 2008!
Thursday
We are on our own tonight with a Variety Show! Guests and staff will provide the audience and the performers. We have had tap dancers, singers, skits, comics and poets in the past shows. What can you do?

In addition to lessons, tours and evening programs a variety of special events are held throughout the week. Here are some and more may be added:Ski Care Clinic
Long time volunteer guide and instructor Elliot Aronin will show you how to prepair your skis for the snow for optimum performance. Ski repair and on snow repair and care secrets are shared.Photo Clinic
Wildlife photographer Michael Wilhelm will teach useful techniques for you to use to enhance your photographic results.Pizza Tours
On Wednesday our varied tours all lead to the Pizza Parlor for lunch.Ice Cream tours
On Thursday a variety of tours lead to the South Shore Pavilion for a sack lunch with hot drinks and ice cream (and some propane heaters to keep those hands warm)Night Ski
Conditions permitting we will offer an opportunity for a night ski.Inner Tube Slide Hill
This is great fun as you are towed to the top of the hill on your inner tube where one of our volunteer staff will gently (or not so gently if you like) send you flying down the slope. Time to be a kid again!Ski Football
Not as crazy as it sounds (but almost). And it is a great spectator sport. We have a great game with a nerf football on skis.Stretching

LESSONS AND TOUR PLANNING
Each day we offer lessons and tours suited for different levels of skill and endurance. The last two days will be more oriented towards tours than lessons. A trail can be appropriate for a beginner in one snow condition and require advanced ski skills in another. Therefore each day’s activities are planned only one day in advance to take into consideration the probable snow conditions and the skills and interests of our guests.
